Sky Watch! The Moon and Jupiter
Asa Packer Elementary
School, Academic Year 2011-2012
Grades 2 and 4 |

On the evening of November 1, 2011, the second- and fourth-grade classes at Asa Packer enjoyed a night telescope observation session provided by Dr. DeLeo. We viewed the Moon and Jupiter through telescopes set up in the playground. We saw craters on the Moon, and the moons of Jupiter!

The sun had just set when Dr. DeLeo arrived to set up the telescopes. The Moon and sky were especially beautiful that evening! |

Physics graduate students from Lehigh University helped Dr. DeLeo. Massooma Pirbhai, Brian Knorr, and Brandon Mitchell are shown below from left to right. |
