Going back to 2009, remember the fun we had when the North by Northwest Community Initiative ran the movie, Mars Attacks? North by Northwest is a State-funded Elm Street community and economic development project. Before the movie started, Dr. DeLeo (center), a scientist from Lehigh University, talked to us about the planet mars! He was accompanied by his able assistant, Ms. Lisa O'Brien (left), from Underwired Vintage Clothing. |

Ms. O'Brien gathered a large group of women and arranged for them to look like the Martian disguised as a human woman in the movie (i.e., weird!). A Lehigh University graduate student brought in a "Martian rover." And, Mr. Pitsilos arranged to have the actual Martian flying saucer prop trucked in and hoisted into the air! Here are some of the photos from that fun day.
